Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To book the best rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, selecting, and booking your prefectrental home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront 3 BR Condo Amazing Views 11th floor! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is right for your family.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you crave, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.
Tips for your stay:
- Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
