Welcome to Going Coastal, our freshly refreshed 6th floor two bedroom, two bath oceanfront condo! Sands Beach Club is located at the end of sought-after Shore Drive at the north end of Myrtle Beach.
The open floor plan living area features an updated kitchen with granite countertops and bar seating, dining room seating for 6, and a comfortable couch with two swivel chairs to take in any view of the ocean with a simple twist. The living room offers 12 ft by 8 ft sliders that lead out onto the oceanfront balcony, complete with Adirondacks to sit and watch the dolphins and pelicans swim by. A 55-inch Roku TV complete with a desk area rounds out the living room. A new DVD player, a variety of movies, and unlimited streaming choices from your subscriptions give you plenty of options for entertainment (cable TV is not supplied).
The master bedroom with new king bed opens directly onto the oceanfront balcony, plus an entire wall of windows that overlooks the ocean. The private master bath with new vanity, granite countertop, and rainforest showerhead connects only to the master bedroom, with its new dressers and 42-inch flat screen TV.
On the back side of the condo, you’ll find another private bedroom with one comfortable queen bed and one comfy twin bed, complete with thick gel bed pad toppers, and a 32 inch flat screen TV. In between the two bedrooms is a second bathroom with shower/tub combo, rainforest shower head, and a new toilet, vanity and top. A sixth guest can use the couch for sleeping.
Sands Beach Club resort offers multiple indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, exercise center, tennis and basketball courts on site. There are coin-operated washers and dryers located on the north end of our floor (plus all other even floors). The oceanfront building is serviced by two fast elevators and bags carts at each end, making it simple to bring your essentials up and down from the condo. Our condo is located close to the South elevator. Plenty of parking is available in the parking lot with open and covered spaces (but no parking garages to circle out of!) Additional amenities like a lazy river are available at our sister property, Sands Ocean Club, just a short walk down the beach (two buildings away).
Our oceanfront building with unobstructed vistas lies directly next to the Singleton Swash, a mecca for all kinds of bird and fish life, seashells and shark’s teeth. Directly across from the swash lies the swanky Dunes golf course development.
This peaceful part of Myrtle Beach offers wide beaches, a family friendly ambiance, and no hordes to fight. Don’t Get it Twisted (oceanfront restaurant and bar on the first floor), Pegasus Pizza (short walk through the parking lot), Flip Flops (short walk down the street) or world-famed Ocean Annie’s (a short walk down the beach) offer a variety of eating choices, all without having to drive or fight traffic!
The impressive part of this area is that it is peaceful and calming, yet just mins. to hundreds of eateries and shopping!
The center of Myrtle Beach is just 11 miles south (20 mins.), with plenty of entertainment options along the way. 1-2 miles to Kroger or Walmart, 5 miles to Barefoot Landing, 5 miles to the Tangers Outlets.
Important COA rules to note:
• Sands Beach Club is a smoke complimentary property. This includes not only the inside of the condo, but also the balcony area. This includes cigarettes, cigars, vaping and weed.
• Full time residents are allowed to have dogs, but guests are not.
• Parking is restricted to two cars, and motorbikes, trailers and boats are not allowed during the summer months. All visitors must use the supplied hang tags on rearview mirrors in the parking area to avoid being towed.
•. Other parts of the year require a three nighttime stay.
I bought this heavenly place for my soul, and to share it’s joys with you. There is no tranquility like the kind you find, sitting next to the ocean, listening to the countless ebb and flow of the tide. It has a windswept feeling to it that you don’t expect in Myrtle Beach.
Dolphins are common sight, as are pelicans and many varieties of sea birds and fish. Handsome sunrises and sunsets come with the package when you stay at Going Coastal! Come stay awhile at our calming spot; you won’t want to leave!
We are veteran co-hosts, opening our first units in 2009 in the impressive mountains of North Georgia. If you would like to see reviews from our other units, please check out Vrbo #259464 or #1408726

Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserve your rental home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local shops and restaurants.
Planning and choosing your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by having your family commit to the best dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. New! Oceanfront Condo with Unparalleled View of the Ocean has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many issues.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
