Tricks and tips to get the very best rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • To get the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

How to select the best vacation home:

  • Start by having your group agree to dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. NEW! Palace Resort TRUE Oceanfront STUDIO Condo has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
