Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Newly updated 15th floor 2br condo @ Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Advice for a great stay:
- Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. message the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many problems.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
