Getting the best vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and pick a perfectrental:
- Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Newly updated 15th floor 2br condo @ Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property manager before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, record any problem areas upon check in. Contact the property manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
