Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Make a plan and pick your prefectvacation home:
- Start by having your group commit to a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Waterfront Luxury 3\/2 @ AAA Four Diamond Resort - by Luxury Beach Rentals! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. If not, reach out to the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Upon arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
