How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- To get the best value, consider changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to choose the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean Bridge B2 - Myrtle Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before reserving your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
