Tricks and tips for getting the perfect vacation home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Planning, selecting, and booking the rightvacation home:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Ocean Front Views! Camelot Resort 1011 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
