Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting and booking the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Ocean Lakes Campground Handicap Accessible Home With Huge Porches 4 Bed 3 Bath has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is right for your vacation family.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
