Tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Selecting the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- First, have your family agree to a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Ocean View Condo Sea Mist 50403 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what bed configuration is best for your group.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- During arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
