How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Choose vacation dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Stunning Ocean Front View + Access to Resort Amenities has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If not, contact the property manager before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
