Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserve your rental home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to choose the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by selecting your vacation dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Ocean View Condo Steps Away From the Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.

- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
