Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Oceanfront condo in Myrtle Beach with pools, hot tubs & gym has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- Upon arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
