Getting the best rental experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select your dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Ocean View Giant Hot Tub & Pool (By Beach Star) has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
