Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your rental home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean View One Bedroom Suite at The Landmark Resort~Unit 650 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your trip.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
