Tips and Tricks to get the very best rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Make a plan and choose your prefectrental home:

  • Choose vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Corner oceanfront 2BR @ Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
