Strategies to get the optimal vacation property experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning, selecting, and booking your prefectvacation home:

  • Select your vacation week and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Corner oceanfront 2BR @ Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your contract.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
