Tricks and tips to get the best rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Selecting the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront King Suite~Meridian Plaza 804 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Have a great stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of concerns.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are assessed.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
