Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Paradise Three-Bedroom Condo 18th Floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
