Tips to get the optimal vacation property experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours and attractions.
Planning, selecting, and booking the bestvacation home:
- Start by choosing the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Oceanfront Suite, Myrtle Beach SC has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your invoice.
Have a wonderful stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
