How to get the best vacation property experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and choose the right Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Bluewater Resort 403 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
