Tips for getting the best rental home experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the best vacation rental:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Spacious Ocean View 2 Bedroom Condo + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If not, reach out to the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is right for your vacation group.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
Know before you go:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, note any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
