Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by having your group decide on date ranges and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. ON The Beach 2 bed\/ 2 bath 1st Floor Condo Only Steps To The Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation family.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Know before you go:
- Add the host's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
- During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
