Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:

How to get the best value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Finding the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. ON The Beach 2 bed\/ 2 bath 3rd Floor Condo only Steps Away From The Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If not, contact the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your group.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Record any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
