Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips:
Money saving strategies:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. One Bedroom Condo Waterway Village 1E Golfer's Paradise has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or applied to your contract.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Additional considerations:
- Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
