Vacation rental home tips:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Serenity: 20th Floor 3 Bedroom Oceanfront Condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
