Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To get the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- To start, have your family decide on vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Oceanfront 3BR\/2BA,walking distance to everything. has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
During your stay:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
