Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Finding the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a group leader, select your dates, and select a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Oceanfront 3BR\/2BA,walking distance to everything. has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
