How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- To start, have your family select date ranges and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Patricia Grand 202 - Myrtle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
