Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- First and foremost, have your family choose the best dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Patricia Grand 202 - Myrtle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review.
