Strategies to get the best rental experience:

Sticking to a budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and choosing your Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Select your dates and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Perfect For Couple Or Small Family has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective.
