Strategies to get the best rental home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • Booking in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectrental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Second-floor oceanfront studio with AC & resort amenities has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs might be applied to your contract.

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
