How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Getting the best value:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Spacious King Oceanfront Studio has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
Additional considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
