How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is a great way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, selecting, and booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- First, have your family select trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. The ocean is calling! Reserve our beautiful 19th floor oceanfront condo now! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
More tips for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
