Tips and Tricks to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Radiant Oceanfront 3BR Condo 10th Floor Condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your group.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
