Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Book your rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the best rental:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Recently Renovated Oceanfront Double Full Suite! Sea Mist 20909- Sleeps 2-4 Guests! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation family.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
During your stay:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
