Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what bed configuration is right for your vacation.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.

More tips for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
