Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- To find the best value, change your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick a perfectrental home:
- Choose a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 2 Story, 3 BdRm with loft - 2B Gloucester Terrace has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation family.
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
More considerations:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
- During check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
