Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Book your rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking the right Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Lakefront 2 level Condo- Beach, Golf, Pools, Tennis, Barefoot Landing & more! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
