Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, try changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose your dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Renovated Oceanfront Condo that sleeps 6 with dishwasher in Myrtle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If not, contact the property manager before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your family.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Advice for a great stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, note any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
