Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- To find the best rental within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning and choosing your Myrtle Beach rental home:
- First, have your group decide on the best dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Royal Ocean Retreat\/King bed\/Free parking has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If not, email the property management company before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
