Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to pick the best rental:
- Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. ?????????????SALT LIFE????????????? has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you crave, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
More tips for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- At Check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
