Our top Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:

Find your perfect rental:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Make a plan and pick your Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Amazing Views--Direct Oceanfront..Family Resort--New Flooring, Couch and Paint has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, call the host before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
