How to get the best rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Planning and choosing a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Sands Beach Club 4th floor newly renovated Ocean\/Swash Front with amazing views has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
