Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select your vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Sea Mist Resort 51305 ocean view studio has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is suitable for your family.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
