Our top Rental home tips:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to pick the best vacation rental:

  • Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Seashells by the Seashore Cabana Room 4th Flr has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
