Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Finding the best vacation home:

  • First, have your family commit to date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. OCEAN FRONT CONDO! EASTER WEEK RENTAL! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is right for your vacation family.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
