Our top Vacation rental home tips:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and choose the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Serene Myrtle Beach Retreat
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
