Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Serenity by the Sea 5th Flr Ocean View 1BR Condo has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Advice for a great stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
