Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To book the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by selecting trip dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Sheraton Broadway Resort
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Does your group require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your contract.
Know before you go:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
