How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the largest rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to choose the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by selecting trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Sheraton condo by the famed Broadway at the Beach! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental.
