Our top Myrtle Beach rental home tips and tricks:
Sticking to your budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Sheraton condo by the famed Broadway at the Beach! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out which bed configuration is best for your family.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs applied to your invoice.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
Advice for a terrific stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many issues.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
