Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Make a plan and pick the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Spacious 3Br\/3Ba Condo located in Kingston Resort a short walk to beach! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
Additional considerations:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
