Tips to get the very best vacation rental experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the largest rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and pick yourrental home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Two Bedroom Combo, Ocean View, Luxury Condo, Myrtle Beach, SC (3312394) has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
