Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- To start, have your family commit to date ranges and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 3BR\/3BA Panoramic View from Our Private Sundeck & Balcony-2 Kings & 2 Twins! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you crave, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
